The Drawings
"I'm not really trying to document a scene but to put down the essense. There is a very fine line of overdoing a drawing, just one extra mark complete changes all that "good" work into something ordinary and lifeless. My main focus is people, the faces with all the variations showing the different charactures and life's journeys. The way clothes, glasses, jewelry, hair etc reflect what they believe themselves to be about.
I've always drawn people since I was little and amazingly even kept a scrap books on my art efforts from those days. It's still a process now to improve and as most artist know it's not a given that you can produce what you want. It is a constant struggle and effort every time I start a drawing, but really its a challenge to turn those few pencil marks into something to else."
